A year full of festivities, education, culture, and economy: that is the Hanseatic year 2023. This year, nine Hanseatic cities in the eastern part of The Netherlands will be devoted to the Hanseatic ideas from April 1st through December 31st. A number of our parks are located around the Hanseatic cities, but also in the immediate vicinity. From our vacation parks, you can experience the Hanseatic year up close!

Why is the Hanseatic year organized?
This year, extra meaning will be given to the Hanseatic ideas. For more than 800 years, the Hanseatic cities have been connected by water and history. Thereby excelling in activity and hospitality. Every city has its own appearance. Together they form the Hanseatic cities; cities that are constantly on the move. The purpose of the Hanseatic year is to createmomentum and dynamics together with entrepreneurs and residents . In addition, they want to use the shared history even more as a source of inspiration; the basis for a solid future.

Nine pearls in the East
Deventer, Doesburg, Elburg, Harderwijk, Hasselt, Hattem, Kampen, Zutphen, and Zwolle are committed this year to make Hanseatic year 2023 a great success. In these cities, you can enjoy wonderful events, festivals, exhibitions, and much more. This year is not just about activities, but also about paying attention to new milestones, such as the return of the IJsselkogge in 2024, and the Hanseatic days in 2030 and 2031 in Zwolle and Harderwijk.
