Holiday parks in the Netherlands

A lovely, cosy cottage, a well-maintained park, a beautiful waterside location, and friendly staff. There could be a bit more privacy. You’ll need a bike or a car to get to any restaurants or cafés.

The cottage was fine, but we’d always stayed in No. 72 and this time it was No. 84, which I found awful – all I could see when I looked outside were trees. I didn’t see a single soul in those two weeks, and the swimming pool was closed too – though at least it was outdoors. Other years were much better.
