Park Westerkogge is a watery holiday park near Hoorn and the Markermeer. The park is surrounded by water that runs through the entire park. There are plenty of activities for young and old on and around the water: swimming, sunbathing, supping, boating, fishing and more. The waters of the IJsselmeer are close by, making it very attractive for water sports enthusiasts. Our holiday park has a heated outdoor swimming pool, sunbathing area, sports field, playground and a restaurant with a lovely waterside terrace. You can also rent a (electric) bike at reception. The holiday park is a short distance from the Markermeer lake, where you can practice various water sports such as sailing, wakeboarding, foiling and surfing. In addition, you will find Artis Zoo and Sprookjeswonderland within half an hour's drive. There are also opportunities for bowling, fishing, ice-skating and golf close to our park.

    Erg fijn dat de auto bij accommodatie geplaatst mocht worden. Mijn moeder die slecht ter been is was daar dankbaar voor 😜 Ondanks dat er dus auto’s op het park rijden was het erg rustig en was dat niet vervelend.

    Nee, maar wel negatief. Tijdens ons verblijf stapte er een serval onze accomodatie binnen. Je kunt je mss voorstellen dat we daar ontzettend van zijn geschrokken en je geen roofdier op t park, laat staan in je accommodatie verwacht. En dat dit ook iets heeft gedaan met het gevoel van veiligheid van de rest van ons verblijf. Gebelt met dierenambulance en politie. Ook met het park, daar 20 minuten in de wacht gehangen. Uiteindelijk het restaurant gebelt, die zijn naar de receptie gelopen. We werden gebelt, de enige boodschap was dat het idd een serval was en de eigenaar is gebelt om hem op te halen... Enige empathie, wat te doen voor ons zelf of andere gasten ontbrak. De dag erna navraag gedaan naar de afloop. Aan het einde van de dag hier pas over teruggebelt, met de mededeling dat de eigenaar hem gevangen had. Wij hebben hier ernstig onze twijfels bij. Als het zo makkelijk is het beest te lokaliseren en te vangen, wat deed het dan überhaupt in ons chalet?? Waarom is de boswachter dan al enige tijd op de hoogte en geeft de dierenambulance aan dat het zeer moeilijk is hem te vangen als hij nergens ingesloten zit. We moeten er niet aan denken dat een klein kind hem tegen zou komen. Of wat er was gebeurt als onze hond wel had gereageert. We snappen dat het park er in de basis niks aan kan doen dat hij binnen staat. Maar nogmaals erg empathisch en behulpzaam werd er niet gehandeld. Ook de communicatie (wachttijd, terugbelken, opvolging, géén overdracht naar andere medewerkers van de receptie) is slecht te noemen. Graag deze boodschap als klacht behandelen.
