In October 2020, TopParken took over Camping de Hertshoorn in Garderen. The entire Resort Veluwe vacation park was built at that location within three years. The park has (sustainable) vacation homes and a diverse range of facilities. But what have been the exact developments? Looking back at three years of Resort Veluwe.

The vacation park was purchased because of the appealing wooded location in the Veluwe. The organization therefore uses this with regard to selling and renting out vacation homes. There are currently 214 vacation homes, almost all of which have been sold. The homes are used for personal use, to rent out, and a combination of these. The majority is (partially) rented out. Renting out vacation homes started in August 2021. 

As far as the facilities are concerned, a lot of (additional) development has taken place at the park. A selection of the new facilities: ground–bowling court, foot–squash court, fun–bowling alley, outdoor fitness equipment, and various (water) playgrounds. In addition, the indoor and outdoor swimming pool, the restaurant, and the play attic have been renovated, and a bread rolls service is offered in collaboration with the local supermarket in Garderen. 

Sustainability is central to the developments at the vacation park. For example, Pet and Canman garbage cans have been placed to recycle and donate deposit bottles and cans. Plus the signs, roads, and paths at the vacation park are made of natural materials. In April 2022, all these sustainable initiatives were awarded the golden Green Key quality mark.
