Cycling
There's nothing that's more relaxing than an extended cycling tour along the waterside. While you are riding your bike, you enjoy the rippling water that reaches the horizon. As it turns out, the area around the IJsselmeer and Markermeer is the perfect place for such cycling tours. The lakes, which were part of the former Zuiderzee, are surrounded by beautiful nature. You'll pass quaint villages and cities along the way, where you can recuperate a bit with a cup of coffee and some cake.

At only a 20-minute drive from Park Westerkogge you'll find the Simonehoeve, a traditional cheese farm and clog manufacturer. At the Simonehoeve there's plenty to do for all ages; from free tours to workshops and various activities. At the end of your visit to the Simonehoeve, you can browse the cozy shop which of course features cheese, clogs, and other fun souvenirs.
