Beautifully located holiday park near Alkmaar

Particularly disappointing in terms of fishing opportunities. Together with the receptionist Allyssa Kloek, we chose a cottage (150) based on the floor plan. This looked like a good spot for fishing, with water on both sides. If there’s one cottage where that was definitely not possible, it’s number 150!!! The garden is completely overgrown; you can’t get down to the water here. ‘Sorry, sorry, I didn’t know that,’ was the response. I was, however, able to fish for a day and an evening at the neighbours’ (151) because it hadn’t been let out yet at the time. For the past 12 years, I’ve been going to a holiday park twice a year for a few weeks to fish. It’s only gone wrong twice, but it was always sorted out – too long a story to go into. But apparently, that wasn’t possible here. They said they’d notify the owner, but only after we’d left – it couldn’t be done any sooner, they said. All that was needed was to remove a single bush! A lovely, peaceful park. Plenty of space in and around the cottage. A lovely central spot from which to explore the surrounding area.
