Parc de IJsselhoeve is located in the recreational area of Hitland, in the scenic Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. This scenic area has all the ingredients to make sure you fully relax. It is characterized by a variety of natural landscapes, from forests to meadows and waters to peatlands. You can also go on scenic walks or cycling trips in the vicinity. The striking cities of Rotterdam and Gouda are also just a short distance from the park (15-20 minutes by car). Ideal if you want to spend a day shopping, sightseeing or visit the famous Gouda cheese market. You can also visit various monumental windmills and farms in the nearby villages of Ouderkerk aan den IJssel and Capelle aan den IJssel. In addition, the park is perfectly located for a visit to one of the many museums, zoos, amusement parks or indoor and outdoor playgrounds in the area is rich.
