Surrounding area

Noordwijk: traditionally a fishing village and nowadays a welcoming and popular seaside resort all year round. With a coastal strip over 13 kilometres long, the beach and dunes are the perfect location for a walk. What could be better than a breath of fresh air on the beach? Along the beach there are lot of beach bars, restaurants and terraces and in the summer months you can also take a dip in the North Sea.

Are you staying at Recreatiepark Noordwijkse Duinen between the end of March and the end of May? The bulb fields and the Keukenhof are definitely worth a visit during that period. For foreign tourists and Dutch tourists alike, the colourful bulb fields are a real attraction. In the spring, over 7 million bulbs and 800 different tulip species bloom there.

On the first Saturday after 19 April, the annual 40-kilometre long Bollenstreek Flower Pageant leaves Noordwijk for Haarlem. A real spectacle for flower lovers!
