Surrounding area

During your holiday at Landgoed de Scheleberg you are surrounded by impressive forests and vast heaths. From the park there are three recognisable walking routes that end up at the geographical centre of Holland, just under three kilometres from the park. The geographical centre of Holland offers amazing views of the Gelderse Vallei.

Lunteren is considered by its residents to be a close-knit village, with its own flag and anthem. In the surrounding area you can delight in the peace and quiet of the Veluwe. It is the perfect location for people who love cycling, walking and horse riding. Other attractive places in Gelderland, such as Ede, Otterlo, Bennekom, Harskamp, Veenendaal and Wekerom, are within cycling or walking distance from the park.

Near Lunteren lies Ede where you can spend a fun day shopping, have a drink on a terrace or go to the cinema. Ede also has one of the best ice cream parlours in Holland (Bernardo’s) where you can treat yourself to some delicious scoops of Italian ice cream. Heideweek takes place the last ten days of August. Various activities are organised in Ede, including diverse fairs such as Oud Lunterse Dag in Lunteren.
